Liberation War Museum provides fund support to filmmakers who want to make documentary films on human rights issues, particularly the struggle for independence of Bangladesh. The museum initiated this process in 2009, providing financial support to filmmakers interested in making documentaries on the Bangladesh Liberation War and struggle for independence. Since 2019, the process has been reshaped through an open call for the submission of ideas. A four-day storytelling workshop is organized with aspiring participants and finally projects are selected through a pitching session on the concluding day. Two film projects are provided financial support every year through the process. One gets 5,00,000 BDT as production support & the second one gets 3,50,000 BDT as award money for research & development of his/her film project.
