Exposition of Young Film Talents 2024

Exposition of Young Film Talents is a documentary project development workshop and funding program. Liberation War Museum (LWM) is inviting production proposals from young and aspiring filmmakers in Bangladesh for making documentary films. Apart from filmmakers, young people of various creative mediums, including photographers, painters, visual artists, and architects, can participate in this initiative. To participate in this initiative, interested candidates are requested to submit their idea by February 5, 2024.

Theme of the submission is open however projects related to the Liberation War and Human Rights will be given priority.

Phase I (Project Development Workshop)
20-30 documentary ideas will be selected from the submission and a 3-day preparatory workshop will be organized at the LWM. Experts will guide participants in developing their ideas into projects and they will be given time to submit their final idea of the project.
Dates: 15-17 February, 2024p
Participation Fee (if selected): 1500 BDT;
Students studying film/documentary: 1000 BDT

Final Phase (Storytelling and Pitching Workshop)
A 4-day final workshop will be organized in April during 12th Liberation DocFest Bangladesh 2024 with 12-15 projects selected from the final idea submissions. LWM will fund the best two documentary projects through pitching from workshop participants.

Production proposal should mention:

  • Probable Title for the documentary
  • Probable Idea/Synopsis for the documentary
  • Probable Contents, Character, Place and/or event introduction, Production Period, Budget (if any)
  • Previous Creative Work Sample (if any)
  • NID/Passport Copy
